Why Japanese?
Why did I choose Japanese? Hmm... It's sort of a long story.
It was during my first year of high school, I was required to take a language class. I was sort of upset because I already know two languages, English and Spanish. I didn't really care at first which language I was going to place in, Japanese or Italian. I was placed in Japanese, and I was fine with it.
I was fascinated with the language itself, the pronunciation was easy for me since it's phonetic. Also, the handwriting is a different system, and I really enjoyed it. The ひらがな system is really pretty with most of the characters having curves and it's elegant.
After the three years of Japanese in my high school, I was sort of tired of it and I was glad to be done with it because I had a horrible teacher. I kind of gave of up in Japanese during my third year of taking the language because I have gotten so confused, especially with the grammar and the teacher wasn't helping.💁💁
I was extremely happy that I was fulfilled the language requirement, but then, I realized that I need to give Japanese another try. My experience within those three years was not the best and I thought I should improve what I already know. That made me decide to continue taking Japanese when I enter college in the following year.
Overall, I just want to give myself an opportunity to continue what I started and get a different experience from it. 😊😊😊
